SINGAPORE YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHERS CONVENTION
On 13 & 14 March, when most of you people might be slacking at home or chiling out with your friends, Veronica, Joey and myself attended the Singapore Young Photographers Convention held at and organised by Anglo-Chinese School (Independent).
DAY ONE
Check out their school campus

In the lecture hall listening to seminars by reowned photographers.

After being inspired, we were organised into 25 groups of 5 consisting of students from different schools. Our task was to shoot 5 photographs relating to the theme 'Singapore through the Eyes of Youth' anywhere around Singapore within 4 hours.
My group decided to work on 'Juvenile Crime'.
We got back to ACS(I) to upload, edit and submit the photos.

Photos we submitted.

DAY TWO
The photographic society of ACS(I) printed out photos and we had to make a poster.

The prize-giving ceremony.
Dr Balaji was the Guest-of-Honour.

My group got the 4th placing!! :DD
The 4th prize were rechargable batteries, charger and a book of photographs titled 'To Singapore, with Love'.
Tea reception

Group photograph.

It was a totally fun 2 days experience and I learnt a lot.
IT WAS A BLAST!

Goodbye
8 March 07 - Last day of Ms Suzanne Jung's 12hr course on news reporting with us. In a meeting with Ms Tan, the sec 2s, Sec 3s, and two thirds of the Sec 4 level missing, the fifteen-odd had an enjoyable and interactive time with Ms Jung. First she teached us what reporters do when they are at an event where they would be doing a live report in 10 minutes, who to interview, what to say, etc. hmm.. interesting...
We then had half an hour to prepare for a 'live-on-mr-soh's-video-cam', 1 minute report on a news of our choice. Haha, we all had great fun. I think i stumbled on a few words and swayed left and right like a coconut tree while on camera. Whole room laughing like mad. @^_^@Then we had tongue twisters. We've got to say "Soldier" and "Shoulder" one after the other consecutively. Someone, think is Ruey Chyi or Esther, or HZ, thought up of onewhere we say "yellow lorry red lorry" for as many times as possible without entangling up the tongue. Haha, I never made it past 3 times...Happy holidays people!!!- xunhao "the expert reporter" =O

Not everyone gets to be at infocomm club
week 8. the end is near.
thursday's meeting is extremely soured. We had the privilege of ms suzanne, co-host of primetime morning, from cna to come down to give us a talk on news reporting. however, we, very particularly our sec threes, had utterly let her and our teachers down that day. :(
at one glance across the lab, one could tell that not every member was paying attention to the speaker. Computer monitors were switched on. games were being played, blogs were visited. one member even had the cheek to leave it on at a blog without bothering to turn it off when he left at the 10-minute break.
Halftime, members were beginning to stream out of the lab en masse. it soon become a flood. our members picked up their bags and strode out of the room with our speaker guest
still in the room. their classic reason: we have a lot of tests tomorrow. We have a lot of homework to be handed in.
but members, everyone is busy with their work these days. It is all about time management. if we had known that we had three tests the day after our meeting, we should have studied them days before thursday. We knew the meeting would end at 630 since last week; no one should be giving an excuse that it is becoming too late, i have to reach home by seven, etc.
a lot of members joined us from other ccas, i'm sure we do not want to start looking for another one so soon.

Happy School Reopen Day homies!
School reopened today!! Like, seriously. I know no one wanted to go to school but they still went for the sake of going and getting perfect attendance. =] .
There'll be infocomm meeting tomorrow. Seeing that pretty korean lady again tomorrow. She's so pretty she blows me off the ground. Yup. Miss Lek, you're very pretty too. Mrs.Ang too. =]] . Oh, don't forget! MARY YEO XUN HAO! YOU'RE PRETTY TOO !! =D .
Okay, so I'm updating and I'm gonna talk about my darling juniors.
There's like, so many people joining Infocomm out of a sudden and I'm kind of freaking out, although I'm happy, 'cause I can't seem to remember everyone's names anymore. =[ . I'm old. Boys are like dominating Infocomm club again 'cause of the sudden rise in the number of boys joining.
Chatted with Kheng Meng just now, and he's still concerned about Infocomm club. Aww, nice nice senior-whos-already-outta-Infocomm. Kheng Meng is one of the computer genius last time, and he's good friends with Jason Teo, our ex-chairman. Weets~.
Hey, let's like, link all Infocomm member's blog to this blog. I just felt like doing so uh-uh, and I'm currently using Xanga so it's a long time since I used Blogger.
Cheers people, Veronica. <33 .
